Audio Mixing Stage B – Genelec 5.1

Mixing Stage B is Summitstar Studios’ professional 5.1 surround mixing and audio post-production suite, designed for feature films, television, documentaries, music production, and commercial projects.

The stage features a Genelec 5.1 monitoring system equipped with 8020D studio monitors and a 7050 series subwoofer, delivering detailed, accurate sound reproduction for dialogue editing, sound design, multichannel mixing, and soundtrack finishing. Additional stereo monitoring options include Yamaha HS8 and HS5 studio monitors, along with Avantone MixCubes, providing multiple reference perspectives for evaluating mix translation across different playback environments.

At the center of Stage B is an Apple Mac Studio running Avid Pro Tools Ultimate, paired with an Avid Carbon audio interface and a Steven Slate Audio RAVEN touchscreen control surface. A Universal Audio LA 610 MKII Channel Strip and PreSonus Central Station monitor controller provide additional recording and monitoring flexibility.

The suite is supported by Summitstar’s extensive production infrastructure, including 400+ TB of network-attached storage and 32 TB of directly attached solid-state storage, providing high-capacity media access and fast local storage for demanding post-production workflows.

Combining professional Genelec surround monitoring, multiple stereo reference systems, tactile touchscreen control, and substantial computing resources, Mixing Stage B provides a versatile environment for dialogue editorial, sound design, music production, surround mixing, and final audio post-production.
